Watermelon Dishcloth Pattern

Hey everyone! Today I’ll be sharing with you my watermelon dishcloth pattern. Last week I shared my watermelon coaster pattern. I’ve really enjoyed making these two patterns as watermelon always reminds me of summer. This free pattern will help you learn how to make a double crochet stitch and a single crochet stitch while also completing a beginner project. I hope you enjoy this watermelon dishcloth pattern!

WATERMELON DISHCLOTH PATTERN

MATERIALS:

PATTERN:

Starting with Bright Pink, Ch 33

ROW 1: dc in 2nd ch from hook and in each stitch across. Ch 2 and turn (32 dc)

ROW 2: dc in 2nd stitch and in each stitch across. Ch 2 and turn (32 dc)

ROWS 3-15: Repeat row 2. Cut yarn and secure with a sl st.

BORDER: Join White into any stitch. Sc all the way around making 3 sc in each corner. Join with a sl st to beginning and fasten off.

Next, join Lime Green into any stitch. Sc all the way around making 3 sc in each corner. Join with a sl st to beginning and fasten off.

To Finish: Leave at least 6 inches for your tail. Cut yarn. Yarn over your hook and pull through the last stitch of your row and tighten. To weave in all yarn ends, thread your yarn in your tapestry needle and go in between the stitches one way and back the other way. This will help keep your project from coming apart.

You now have your very own watermelon dishcloth! These make great gifts for family members, friends, or even yourself. Make a bunch and pair it with my watermelon coasters for a fun summer theme.
