Waffle Stitch Dishcloth Pattern

Today I’ll be sharing my Waffle Stitch Dishcloth Pattern with you. I fell in love with the waffle stitch, so I knew there were going to be more patterns using this stitch in the future. My most popular pattern using this stitch is my Waffle Blanket. You can view the pattern here. I also made the Waffle Stitch Scarf, which you can view the pattern here. The waffle stitch dishcloth uses the same concept, only on a smaller scale. This is a great stitch because the holes not only give you more scrubbing power, but it also helps the dishcloth dry faster.

For today’s tutorial, you will need cotton yarn (I’m using Lily Sugar ‘N Cream) and a size I-9 crochet hook (I’m using Clover Amour). The finished dishcloth measures 10×10. However, you can customize this dishcloth to be wider or longer depending on your preference. Gather up your supplies and let’s begin!

Repeat ROWS 2 and 3 until dishcloth measures 8×8 or desired length. Be sure to end on a row 2 for a neat edge.

BORDER: Chain 1 and turn. Sc around entire dishcloth making sure to put 3 scs into each corner. Join to beginning sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.

I hope you enjoyed today’s pattern on my waffle stitch dishcloth.  Feel free to make a couple of these dishcloths for yourself, a family member, or a friend. These also make a great housewarming gift. The texture of this waffle stitch dishcloth makes it a fun design while also scrubbing your dishes clean.
