Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my newest beginner crochet pattern, the Suzette Throw Blanket. This throw blanket is so easy to work up and would be comfortable to cuddle under. It’s so very soft and works up beautifully.
The Suzette Throw Blanket is made using a worsted weight yarn in three different colors. However, this striped throw blanket would be pretty in just about every color combination out there. The possibilities are truly endless!
For the Suzette Throw Blanket, I used Premier Basix. However, you can use whatever yarn you’d like. I also used a size J-10 (6.0mm) crochet hook. I highly recommend using my favorite crochet hooks, Clover Amour. You will also need a tapestry needle and a pair of scissors. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!
Suzette Throw Blanket
Materials:
- (3) skeins of Premier Basix in Cream
- (2) skeins of Premier Basix in Mustard
- (1) skein of Premier Basix in Gray
- J-10 (6.0mm) crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Size:
39 x 57
Notes:
- To change the width of this blanket, you will chain an even number of chains.
- Whenever you see parenthesis, you will follow the instructions inside the parenthesis into the stitch indicated.

With Cream, CH 110
Row 1: In the 2nd CH from the hook, make a (SC, DC) into the same stitch. *Skip the next stitch and in the stitch after that make a (SC, DC). Repeat from * until you have 2 CHS left. Skip a CH and in the final CH, make a SC. CH 1 and turn.
Row 2: Make a (SC, DC) into the very first stitch. *Skip next stitch (DC from previous row) and work (SC, DC) into the next stitch (SC from previous row). Repeat from * across until you have 2 stitches remaining. Skip one stitch and make a SC in the last stitch. CH 1 and turn.
Rows 3-136: Repeat Row 2 for pattern.
Color Sequence (repeat sequence 5 times)
- 4 rows Cream
- 2 rows Gray
- 4 rows Cream
- 2 rows Gray
- 4 rows Cream
- 8 rows Mustard
You will end your blanket with 4 rows Cream, 2 rows Gray, 4 rows Cream, 2 rows Gray, 4 rows Cream, so the beginning and end of your blanket match. The Suzette Throw Blanket should have a total of 136 rows. After completing your final row, fasten off.
