Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my newest crochet pattern, the Sprig Stitch Baby Blanket. I recently made a video tutorial on how to make the sprig stitch, so I thought I would make a blanket pattern to go along with the tutorial.
This is such a fun and easy stitch to learn, so I hope you enjoy it as well. I also show you how to make the final row of the blanket, which helps give the blanket a nice straight edge across the top.
If you end up making this blanket, please share your finished product by tagging me on Instagram using the hashtag #amandacrochets. I’d love to see what other colors you come up with for inspiration!
For the Sprig Stitch Baby Blanket, I used Caron Lovely Layers in Frosted Blueberries. However, you can use whatever #4 worsted weight yarn you’d like. I also used a size H-8 (5mm) crochet hook. I highly recommend using my favorite crochet hooks, Clover Amour. You will also need a tapestry needle and a pair of scissors. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!
Sprig Stitch Baby Blanket
Materials:
- (2) skeins of Caron Lovely Layers in Frosted Blueberries (approx. 766 yards)
- H-8 (5mm) crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Size:
27×34
Note:
- To change the size of your blanket, you will make a CH of a multiple of 4 plus 3. This means you will multiply any number by 4 to get your desired width. Once satisfied, you will add 3 more CHS to the end.
If you would like to purchase an ad-free version of this pattern, you can do so here.
