Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing with you my newest crochet pattern, the Sedge Stitch Hot Pad. These hot pads work up quickly, making them a beginner-friendly pattern. You will use three basic stitches and two strands of cotton yarn held together to create this double thick hot pad. Crochet a few of these for gift giving, craft fairs, or even use them in your own kitchen! They’re not only beautiful with the fun textured design, but they’re also practical and useful around the kitchen.
The Sedge Stitch Hot Pad is made using Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton. However, you can use any cotton yarn you have in your yarn stash. You will use two strands held together, so the color possibilities are endless! I also used a size K-10.5 (6.5mm) crochet hook. My favorite crochet hooks to use are the Clover Amour. You will also need a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!
