June Crafty Goals Recap (2020)

In January, I shared my 2020 crafty goals with you. If you missed it, you can check it out here. I decided that I’m going to do a monthly recap of my crafty goals both to keep me on track, but also share my progress with you. Here is my June crafty goals recap.

Like I mentioned, I wanted to do a little recap of my monthly crafty goals to help keep me on track. I have so much going on, so I thought it would be easier to break down my goals by month so it wouldn’t seem so overwhelming. I also realized I set other crafty goals for myself that I didn’t initially include in my 2020 crafty goals, so I will include them in these monthly recaps instead.

JUNE CRAFTY GOALS RECAP

Design More Crochet Patterns

This month, I designed some dishcloth patterns as well as a blanket pattern. I have some leftover cotton yarn in my stash, so I thought I would start using it up by making some dishcloths. I still have some cotton yarn left, which I may decide to make some more dishcloth patterns in the future. For now, you can check out my dishcloth patterns here:

Floating Squares Dishcloth

I wanted to make another blanket pattern, so I looked through my yarn stash to see what yarn I could use. In the end, I settled on Red Heart Super Saver Ombre in the color Scuba. I really wanted to make a corner to corner (c2c) blanket using this yarn, so that’s what I did. I ended up making a ribbed border by alternating fpdc and bpdc stitches.

Make at Least 10 YouTube Videos

I’m still relatively new when it comes to making YouTube videos. However, I really want to make it more of a point to make more videos consistently and share my crochet tutorials and patterns through video format. That’s why I made it a goal to make at least 10 video this year.

Over quarantine, I was able to have time to make different tutorial videos. In fact, I was able to make a total of 11 YouTube videos, officially completing my goal! Since I’ve gone back to work, I’ve tried staying as consistent as possible with posting at least 1 video a week. In the month of June, I was able to post 6 YouTube videos.

I’m having a lot of fun with my YouTube channel! If you have any video ideas you would like me to make, please leave me a comment below. I’d love to hear from you!

Etsy Collections

I haven’t worked on any new collections during the month of June. This is because I’m trying to focus on using up what yarn I have in my stash first. Once I use up some yarn (and make some room for new yarn) I will continue my Etsy Collections once again. I already have a few ideas in mind!

Adding blanket collections has been a lot of fun as it allows me to explore different options and create something for everyone. As I mentioned, I’m currently working through my stash. I have a lot more Caron Cotton Cake yarn than I thought, so I’m slowly adding more blankets to that collection.

Ongoing Crafty Goals Update

Yarn Skeins Used- 10 skeins/3,957 yards

Create More Worry Less- I decided each month to go through my stash and use up any leftover yarns for charity projects. I’m making pet beds to donate to Comfort for Critters. I made a total of 0 pet beds for charity this month. This is due to donations not being accepted right now as well as me focusing on making blankets for my Etsy Shop instead. However, I do have some yarn put on the side for pet beds once donations are being accepted once again.

That concludes my June crafty goals recap. Thank you so much for sticking around and seeing my progress. I hope this inspires you to set some crafty goals for yourself as you never know what you’re capable of doing.
