Granny Rectangle Throw Blanket

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing with you my newest crochet pattern, the Granny Rectangle Throw Blanket. Crochet blankets are a beautiful way to add a handmade touch to a home during the different seasons. Blankets are a great gift to give to family and friends, too! The Granny Rectangle Throw Blanket is a beginner-friendly pattern as it’s a one-row repeat pattern.

For the Granny Rectangle Throw Blanket, I used #5 bulky weight yarn. I used Premier Puzzle Yarn in Sudoku, however, you can use any yarn you’d like. I also used a size L-11 (8.0 mm) crochet hook. My favorite crochet hooks to use are the Clover Amour. You will also need a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!

Notes:

  • If you want to change up the sizing of this blanket, you will repeat Round 3.
  • The skipped chain 3 at the beginning of Round 1 counts as a double crochet.
  • The chain 3 counts as your first double crochet.
  • You will turn your work after each round. This will keep your work straight.
