Funfetti Puff Stitch Scarf Pattern

Hey everyone! Today I’m sharing my Funfetti Puff Stitch Scarf with you. The Funfetti Puff Stitch Scarf is a free pattern that provides lots of texture in vibrant jewel tone colors. If you have never worked the puff stitch before, this is a great pattern that will provide you with lots of practice. Once you get the hang of it, it’ll go by quickly!

For the Funfetti Puff Stitch Scarf, you will need 1 skein of Original Caron Cake yarn. I used the color Funfetti. However, you can use any worsted weight yarn you would like. I also used a size J-10 crochet hook. My favorite is the Clover Amour, which you can check out here. Finally, you will need a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!

FUNFETTI PUFF STITCH SCARF

Materials:

Finished Size:

6” wide x 60” long

Note:

To change up the sizing of this scarf, you will simply make a chain multiple of 2+4. This means you will make a chain of 2+2+2+2 until your desired length and add 4 extra chains onto the end.

Special Stitch:

To make a puff stitch, wrap yarn around hook and draw up a loop (3 loops on your hook), wrap yarn around hook and draw up another loop (5 loops on your hook), wrap yarn around hook and draw up a loop (7 loops on your hook). Wrap yarn around hook one more time and bring it through all 7 loops on your hook. (Scroll down for a photo tutorial)

Row 2: Ch 3 and turn.  Work a (puff stitch, ch 1) in the top stitch of each puff from previous row, for a total of 13 puff stitches across.  Work a dc in the top stitch of the turning ch.

Repeat row 1 until scarf is desired length.  Fasten off and weave in ends.
