Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing with you my newest crochet pattern, the Festive Striped Hot Pad. This is a great advanced beginner-friendly crochet pattern that uses the cluster v-stitch. The Festive Striped Hot Pad consists of a one row repeat and can be made in a variety of different colors.
The Festive Striped Hot Pad is made using Premier Home Cotton in traditional holiday colors. However, you can use any #4 weight yarn you have in your yarn stash. I also used a size H-8 crochet hook. My favorite crochet hooks to use are the Clover Amour. You will also need a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!
Festive Striped Hot Pad
Materials:
- (1) skein each of Premier Home Cotton in Cranberry, Christmas Green, and White
- H-8 (5.0mm) crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Size:
8″ x 8″
Notes:
- To change the width of this hot pad, you will need to make a chain in a multiple of 4+2. This means you will multiply any number by 4. Once satisfied, you will add 2 chains to the very end.
- You will make 2 panels and sew them together.
- You can make 2-3 hot pads with 1 skein of yarn.
