Hey everyone! This past year I’ve discovered some new crochet patterns. Today I’m going to share my favorite patterns from 2018. All of these patterns will be linked below so you can check them out for yourself. These are all my own opinions. Without further ado, let’s begin!

BRIAR ROSE BLANKET

One of the first favorite patterns from 2018 is this baby blanket. I tried the Briar Rose Blanket by Jennifer of Fiber Flux. I immediately fell in love with this blanket pattern when I saw that she used Red Heart Ombre yarn. This was a new to me yarn, and I loved how slowly the colors changes were when making this blanket. I ended up making two of these blankets because I loved the pattern so much. The pattern is a simply shell stitch design. You can check out my full review here.

NIGHTBERRY CHEVRON BLANKET

I designed this next pattern. This is the Nightberry Chevron Blanket. This beautiful blanket is made using Caron Big Cake yarn. I really enjoy making chevron blankets, so I knew I had to come up with my own pattern featuring this design. This is a very easy stitch to learn and can be made in a ton of different colors. This chevron blanket has some texture to it and you’re working in the back loops.

BLANKET STITCH BABY BLANKET

 Another one of my designs, the Blanket Stitch Baby Blanket is a pure delight. I fell in love with this stitch and knew I had to make a baby blanket with it. I used Caron Big Cake yarn for this blanket. However, you can use whatever yarn you’d like. This uses a combination of double crochet and single crochet stitches to create this wonderfully textured blanket. You can also customize this blanket to make it bigger if desired. EASY CROCHET V MARKET BAG

This is another one of my favorite patterns from 2018. The Easy Crochet V Market Bag pattern is a free pattern offered by The Crochet Crowd. I love the texture in this bag as it reminds me of a baby blanket I made using this same concept. When making this market bag pattern, I remember smiling the whole time and trying to work as quickly as possible as I wanted to see the finished result. GINGERBREAD TOWEL TOPPER

If you’re looking for a cute and easy Christmas project, the Gingerbread Towel Topper is it! I saw this pattern earlier this year and decided to make a few for a fall craft fair. Needless to say, they were one of my best sellers. Even after the craft fair ended, I’ve gotten a few orders for more of these gingerbread towel toppers. I really like how quickly they workup. I’ve also made a snowman version using this same pattern. I tweaked it a little to fit my needs, but one of my favorite things is that you can interchange towels. This is because of a hidden loop underneath the dress. This makes it a perfect gift! This is a paid for pattern. You can check out my full review here.

TURKEY TOWEL TOPPER

Another holiday favorite is this Turkey Towel Topper. I absolutely LOVED working this pattern and couldn’t believe how easy it was to make. Upon first glance, it might seem like it’s complicated, but it’s actually quite easy. I modified this pattern a little to include a loop in order to interchange towels if desired. I will definitely be making more for next year’s craft fair! This is also a paid for pattern. Check out my full review here.
