Hey everyone! Today’s yarn review is on the Deborah Norville Everyday Baby Yarn. I purchased this yarn at Joann Fabrics recently during their clearance sale (along with a bunch of other clearance yarns). I’ve used Deborah Norville yarn before, so I thought it would be fun trying to find out the baby version.

DEBORAH NORVILLE EVERYDAY BABY YARN STATS

Each skein is 100% anti-pilling acrylic yarn and is machine washable. That means this yarn won’t pill up once it’s washed. The original Deborah Norville Everyday yarn is the same way. This yarn is 308 yards (282 meters) or 4oz (113 grams). Deborah Norville Everyday Baby Yarn is considered a #3 lightweight yarn, making it a perfect candidate for baby items. The recommended hook size is a G-6 (4.0mm) and the recommended needle size is a US 6 (4.0mm).

REVIEW OF DEBORAH NORVILLE EVERYDAY BABY YARN

As I mentioned with the original yarn, this yarn is anti-pilling, which helps keep you items looking new after numerous washes. It’s also very soft and squishy, which is something I always look for in a yarn. Even though with sensitive skin will appreciate the softness of this yarn. There is also a little bit of a sheen to this yarn as well.

I did not find this yarn terribly difficult to work with at all. When working with this yarn, I did not see any splitting or knots, which is always a plus. This yarn seemed to glide across my crochet hook with ease.

COLOR I PICKED UP

This yarn comes in a variety of solid and variegated colors. However, there were only a few colors available on clearance.

I decided to pick up this beautiful turquoise color. I’ve been on a kick making baby boy blankets, so I thought this yarn would be the perfect addition.

OVERALL IMPRESSION

Overall, I recommend trying out Deborah Norville Everyday Baby Yarn for yourself. You can easily make some beautiful projects with both the solid and multi print versions. This yarn is very soft, which makes it a great candidate for babies, those with sensitive skin, and charity crocheting/knitting.

I’m glad I was able to pick up some of this yarn while it was on clearance. I would definitely purchase this yarn again, but I would wait for sales and coupons. It’s a little too pricey regular price.
