Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my newest crochet pattern, the Chunky Basketweave Throw. This chunky throw blanket is made using textured stitches, creating a dense and warm throw. This blanket would be perfect to cuddle up underneath during the cold winter season.
For the Chunky Basketweave Throw, I used Premier Puzzle Yarn. However, you can use whatever bulky weight yarn you’d like. I also used a size L-11 (8.0mm) crochet hook. I highly recommend using my favorite crochet hooks, Clover Amour. You will also need a tapestry needle and a pair of scissors. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!
Chunky Basketweave Throw
Materials:
- (5) skeins of Premier Puzzle Yarn in Riddle
- L-11 (8.0mm) crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Size:
34×45
Notes:
- You can change up the sizing of this blanket by making a chain in a multiple of 6 plus 4. This means you will make a chain in a multiple of 6. Once satisfied, you will add 4 chains to the very end.
- The chain 3 in each row counts as your first double crochet.
Special Stitches:
- Front Post Double Crochet (FPDC): insert your hook from front to back around the post of the next DC and work a DC.
- Back Post Double Crochet (BPDC): insert your hook from back to front around the post of the next DC and work a DC.
