Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my newest crochet pattern, the Christmas Striped Throw. Crochet blankets are a beautiful way to add a handmade touch to a home during the holidays. Blankets are a great gift to give to family and friends, too! This ripple blanket will definitely get you in the holiday spirit!
The Christmas Striped Throw is made using worsted weight yarn in three different colors. However, if you want to switch up the colors to match your home décor, you can do that as well. The color possibilities are endless!
If you end up making this blanket, please share your finished product by tagging me on Instagram using the hashtag #amandacrochets. I’d love to see what other colors you come up with for inspiration!
For the Christmas Striped Throw, I used Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn in Red, Forest, and White. However, you can use whatever #4 worsted weight yarn you’d like. I also used a size I-9 (5.5mm) crochet hook. I highly recommend using my favorite crochet hooks, Clover Amour. You will also need a tapestry needle and a pair of scissors. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!
CHRISTMAS STRIPED THROW
Materials:
- (3) skeins each of Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn in White
- (2) skeins each of Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn in Forest and Red
- I-9 (5.5mm) crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Size:
45×55
Notes:
- To change the width of this throw blanket, you will need to make a chain that’s a multiple of 10 plus 2. (Example: 10×3=30 plus 2=32)
- I changed colors after every two rows. You will have a total of 10 sets of the four-color repeat. At the end, you will make two rows of Light Sage, so your blanket starts and ends with the same color.
- After you make each set of colors, I highly recommend weaving in your ends. This will help you to not have so many ends to weave in at the very end.
