Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing my newest beginner crochet pattern, the Christmas Coasters. These coasters are so easy to work up and would be a great addition to your holiday decor. Christmas in July is in full swing at my house, and I plan on making a few more Christmas patterns to help get you prepared for the holiday season.
The Christmas Coasters are made using a worsted weight cotton yarn in three different colors. However, this coaster would be pretty in just about every color combination out there. The possibilities are truly endless!
For the Christmas Coasters, I used Premier Home Cotton. However, you can use whatever yarn you’d like. I also used a size H-8 (5.0mm) crochet hook. I highly recommend using my favorite crochet hooks, Clover Amour. You will also need a tapestry needle and a pair of scissors. Gather your supplies and let’s begin!
Christmas Coasters

- (1) skein each of Premier Home Cotton in Cranberry, White, and Christmas Green (If you want to save some money on your first purchase from Premier, click here.)

4.5 in diameter

- Do not turn after each round.
- Chain 2 counts as a double crochet

- DC3TOG-Yarn over, insert hook in stitch, pull up a loop, 3 loops on hook. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook. Then, yarn over insert in same stitch, pull up a loop, 4 loops on hook. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook, 3 loops remain. Next, yarn over, insert hook in same stitch. Yarn over, pull up a loop, 5 loops remain. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops, 4 loops left on hook. Finally, yarn over pull through all 4 loops on hook.
