Hey everyone! Today I’m reviewing a new-to-me yarn called Baby Bee Sweet Delight Prints. This yarn can be found exclusively at Hobby Lobby stores and online. I purchased this yarn when they were having their clearance sale.
I’m always interested in trying out new yarns, so I thought I’d try this one out. Without further ado, let’s jump in to my yarn review on Baby Bee Sweet Delight Prints.
BABY BEE SWEET DELIGHT PRINTS STATS
Each skein is 60% acrylic and 40% polyamide and is machine washable and dryable. They are each 377 yards (345 meters) or 4oz (115 grams). Baby Bee Sweet Delight Prints is a #3 lightweight yarn, making it a perfect candidate for baby items. The recommended hook size is a US 7 (4.5mm) and the recommended needle size is a US 6 (4 mm).
REVIEW OF BABY BEE SWEET DELIGHT PRINTS
Like many other yarns, this yarn is super soft. This yarn actually reminds me of Deborah Norville Every Day Yarn, just thinner. It has a really nice feel to it, so even those with sensitive skin will appreciate the softness. There are tons of different solid, marled, and print colors in this collection. This yarn is the perfect way to add some color with some texture.
Baby Bee Sweet Delight Prints would be perfect for baby blankets, hats, and even lightweight shawls. Each label includes a free pattern on it, which is great as you can see what one of the colors looks like worked up.
This yarn glides across my crochet hook with ease. I haven’t had any issues with the yarn splitting or getting tangled up. It was very nice to work with, and I couldn’t stop squishing this soft yarn.
COLORS I PICKED UP
I picked up two different colors in this collection. The first one is Neutral Multi. It’s a nice combination of browns and creams.
The second color is Springtime Melodies. This includes a combination of pinks, yellows, greens, blues, and white.
OVERALL IMPRESSION
Overall, I recommend trying Baby Bee Sweet Delight Prints yarn out for yourself. With so many color options available, you can easily make some beautiful projects with both the solid and multi print versions. This yarn is very soft, which makes it a great candidate for babies, those with sensitive skin, and charity crocheting/knitting.
I started making a shell stitch baby blanket with the neutral multi color. The one change I made was using a size I-9 crochet hook instead of the recommended size US 7. I feel like this helps me get a little more drape with this baby blanket.
I’m glad I picked up some of this yarn while it was on clearance. For the price, I think it’s a little too high for the amount of yardage you get. I probably wouldn’t buy this yarn unless it’s on sale or if I had a coupon. However, it’s still worth trying it out at least once.
