Hi everyone! Today I’m going to review Annie’s Kit Club. This is a monthly subscription designed for crocheters to help keep your hands busy and your skills sharp. Both beginner crocheters and more advanced crocheters can benefit from these kits and end up making a beautiful project.
Currently, Annie’s has four different crochet-themed kits to choose from, which you can view on their website. However, they also have other kit clubs available for knitters, paper crafts, kids, and more. Below are the crochet kit clubs they offer:
- Caring Crochet Kit Club
- Crochet Afghan Block-of-the-Month Club
- Crochet Striped Afghan Club
- Hook & Needle Kit Club
*Disclaimer* The thoughts and views expressed are mine and mine alone. However, I was given these free samples to share with my audience. You will also see some affiliate links regarding these kit clubs.
The two kits that I received are the Afghan Block-of-the-Month Kit and the Crochet Striped Afghan Club.

AFGHAN BLOCK-OF-THE-MONTH KIT (coupon code below)
This Annie’s Kit Club is a monthly subscription (11 total kits) that includes all the yarn, patterns, and crochet tools needed to make a beautiful afghan. As a club member, you will also have access to video tutorials to help you along the way. Each subsequent kit contains the yarn and patterns needed to make 3 new blocks each month (30 blocks total). The final kit in this series will include materials to block your squares as well as guide you with sewing the squares together before adding a border.
What’s included?
In this first kit, you get a helpful instructional booklet that covers the basic stitches as well as show you the different crochet abbreviations. Whether you’re a beginner or a more seasoned pro, you have everything you need right in this booklet!
You will also receive two skeins of yarn, which you’ll use to complete your first 3 blocks of your afghan. In the Block-of-the-Month Kit, you can choose between two colors: warm sand (shown) or coastal gray.
Also included are four free gifts: a set of two crochet hooks, tapestry needle, and an illustrated stitch guide.
The yarn included in this kit is very soft, making it a perfect candidate for a blanket. You will have no problem working with this yarn as it’ll easily glide over your crochet hook like butter. With the instructional booklet, you will get to see the other colors you’ll use to complete this project. Here is what one of the squares looks like when completed:
What to expect?
Looking at the afghan as a whole, it seems like the more the kit progresses, the more advanced the stitches become. However, this shouldn’t discourage beginners from completing this project. The written instructions are very detailed and easy enough for a beginner crocheter to understand. Don’t forget you have those video tutorials if you’re more of a visual learner!
After you’ve completed your 3 blocks, you should have some yarn leftover.
Pricing
Each monthly kit costs $19.99 plus $5.95 shipping ($6.95 Canada). Purchase here: Block-of-the-Month Kit

CROCHET STRIPED AFGHAN KIT (coupon code below)
This Annie’s Kit Club is a monthly subscription (11 total kits) that includes all the yarn, patterns, and crochet tools needed to make a beautiful Seaside Sampler afghan. As a club member, you will also have access to video tutorials to help you along the way. Each subsequent kit contains the yarn and patterns needed to make 3 new stripes each month (30 stripes total). The final kit in this series will explain how to make the border as well as the finishing details.
What’s included?
Much like the kit I mentioned above, you get a helpful instructional booklet that covers the basic stitches as well as show you the different crochet abbreviations. Whether you’re a beginner or a more seasoned pro, you have everything you need right in this booklet!
You will also receive three skeins of yarn, which you’ll use to complete your first 3 stripes of your afghan. Each stripe provides a different color and texture, which will make you think of the beach every time you work on it.
Also included are four free gifts: a crochet hook, tapestry needle, stitch markers, and an illustrated stitch guide.

You will have no problem working with this yarn as it’ll easily glide over your crochet hook like butter. Overall Impression
I would give these kits a try, especially if you’re looking for a creative outlet, but don’t know where to start. These monthly kits make it easy to create a project, maybe even using stitches you’ve never tried before! Again, the video tutorials are super helpful. I also really like the color options included in the kits. I feel like they’re all neutral colors, which will work for a variety of home décor styles.
What’s not to like when you have everything included right there in each kit? If you’re not completely satisfied with your Annie’s Kit Club, you can cancel your membership at anytime, no strings attached.
Thank you so much for joining me as I review the Annie’s Kit Club! If you would like to purchase either one of these kits, you can do so here (Block-of-the-Month) and here (Striped Afghan). I hope you consider purchasing one of these kits, or the many other kits they offer, and give it a try today!
